Maybe im the only one who is noticing this, and maybe its pure coincidence that its happening on 3 different computers, but i keep on needing to log back into my forum account every so often.
this has happened on my home computer, my laptop, and a computer at the business lab here at UVM

You guys are gonna have to be a little more descriptive. I need the exact URLs your browser is showing when it's working and when it's not.

Which browser you're using would probably help too.

porter IE6 all updates installed
when i got to www.csreloaded.com it doesn't seem to read the cookie. I get that "welcome to CS Reloaded" on the home page... doesn't that only show up when it doesn't read a cookie to know you are already a member?

Fotty: No, that's the new homepage I installed with the new backend. Heh, guess I can't complain about people not noticing this time, but it's a shame it was interpreted as an error instead of an upgrade. Our homepage posts the most recent 6 topics from the News board in the forums in descending order whether you're logged in or not. Don't let the tight integration fool you.
Deuce: Don't know what to tell you, except that you're not visiting any "homepage" I know about. You're just linking straight to the forum index, which should be loading your cookie just fine. If you're using a bookmark, I would say check the URL there.

porter.. here is a small update idea.. on the home page. on the right side where it has recent forum posts.. those hyperlinks should really go to the new post.. instead they go to the first post in the thread.. that always bugged me a little

Very strange indeed. Could be a YaBB bug I suppose, but 1.54 isn't supported anymore, so I'd have to start trying to diagnose it by hand. SMF 1.0 should be out in a couple months, and I'd like to be able to switch over to that when possible.
