ReconGamer Webserver Issues

I know a few of you have been complaining about long page-load times and some pages stalling out entirely this past week or so. We had previously believed the problem to lie in one of two places: either RG's MySQL server was overloaded and wasn't handling the strain well enough, or a number of external forum avatars that were failing to load and "breaking" the pages they were located on.
My chat with Brian from RG Support this evening has illuminated a new problem we were previously unaware of. It seems a week or so ago RG upgraded their webservers (Microsoft IIS 5) to the latest release candidate of PHP (4.3.3 RC1). This version apparently is not entirely stable yet, which might explain the problems you all have been experiencing with our entirely PHP-based website. Brian informed me a number of other customers have called in voicing complaints about website performace, so rest assured we are not the only ones experiencing a problem.
Just this afternoon RG reverted to the last stable release of PHP, so please be on the look out for any more issues concerning pages loading slow (or not at all). If they seem to clear up, then we will have found the root of the problem.
As always, we appreciate everyone's patience with this issue. I know it was bugging me just as much as some of you.

Can't tell you. I've been calling RG every time the website is slow, so they start to get an idea of how annoying it is. Maybe they picked up on it and actually did something about it. Time will tell. Continue to report any unusual website behavior here (though I suspect I will notice it too).
Thanks for the input mates.
